ICAT site updates
The ICAT home page and additional links are in the process of being updated and released. It is our intention to have all of the ICAT site updates rolled out in line with the new ICAT v4.0 upgrade.
These are exciting times, one with many interlacing components. I thank you in advance for your patience and critiques as we prepare for the roll out of an exceptional upgrade and site update.

Thanks to ALL who have provided essential testing and feedback, especially this last year. We are very excited about the new upgrades.
v4.0 Scheduled Release
- V4 roll-out ETA is August 1.
- Upon this roll-out there will be many rapid updates to the ICAT software instance.
- Extensive testing and updates will be occuring over the weekend prior to Summer Conference.
- Due to the nature of this significant update, if you are using ICAT V.4 August 1-3, you may experience loss of connection to the site. Please note: ICAT v.3 will not be hindered during this period. You will still have access to ICAT v.3 for any work that you are trying to perform for Summer Conference.
- You will not be prompted/warned regarding any updates during the August 1-3 time period. In the event you are working in v4 when an update occurs, you will lose connection to site and possible loss of work.
- Loss of connectivity will yield prompts like "no instance found".
- The Beta v4.0 interface was attached to the v3 database July 11th.
- The impact of this upgrade on ICAT v3 is the icons. Users in ICAT 3 will notice the icons associated with their resources are different. You may also see some repetitious headers or other suspect duplication. These will be resolved when the full rollout occurs. If those buttons were removed, loss of function would occur in ICAT v3.
- UPDATE All Train the Trainer training sessions for Monday July 28 have been cancelled due to no enrollment. Training is still available on July 29th. Please register through the Help Desk and Training area.
